At the next regular Board meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2014, the Mosier Fire District Board intends to appoint someone to serve the remainder of Vic Hamilton’s term, through June 30, 2015. Vic resigned last month after many years of dedicated service.
The Board is searching for citizens willing to step forward and fill the vacancy left by Vic Hamilton’s resignation.
The Board hopes to cast a very wide net in its search for a new member. In addition to being a concerned citizen of our community, a few examples of the many divergent backgrounds that would significantly enhance the Board might include: large vehicle design and maintenance, medical/first aid, public financing, engineering/architecture, fire service, policy development, strategic planning, and public board functioning.
To be eligible to serve on the Board, a person must either own property in the Mosier Fire District, or be currently registered to vote listing an address in the Mosier Fire District. (ORS 478.050)
If a Fire District resident would like to be considered for this position they should contact Glenn Bartholomew, Board Secretary, at either firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 541 490-5404. The next Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November the 13th. Public notice has been provided.
